long time no see….

hello world!!! yes yes its been a reaaallllyyy long time since i posted anything, dun worry the blog is still alive…haha though barely. Actually wanted to post some stuff during the London trip but yah iwas too lazy to even log on to the website. Will do some back date post some time later..erm i hope. Anyway just wanna share some exp tht happened lately. Xmas day i was helping out with the CCIS event at Orchard. my job was to jaga some welfare organisations who have been invited to collect some gifts from the organizer….frankly i thot it was quite a wayang gesture after i saw the so called gifts, i think its really not worth their trouble to come all the way down. that aside, i had to ‘take care’ of Boys town home which sent 7 boys down together with 2 of their stuffs, both male both younger than me and one happened to b an old boy but came back as a social worker. this was the first time i come in contact wif delinquents, honestly i kind of like the interaction, the youngest was 9! very cute some more…i really wonder why they end up there…they look like anyother kids on the street. Hardy (one of the boys) love to play the drums and love linkin park too…haha and i like linkin park too. The sad part came when 2 of the boys need to go up stage to collect gifts from the Guest of Honor. They actually hesitated cos they dun feel comfy with the cameras (the event is broadcast over the air), cos they scare lose face and lose their parents face but they had to conform. they haf become the scapegoat for the organizer need to showcase to sporeans tht we care for the ‘less fortunate’. (totally hate it when they mention tht during the speech…who r we deem them as less fortunate) i quickly hasten them off the stage once the session was over so that they can b away from the crowd. frankly there is absolutely no need for them to go upstage to b showcased, they could haf taken the gifts and leave quietly if the whole intent was to GIVE. Any way found out tht they haf some volunteering projects and i m actually interested in the tuition one. I haf much to learn from them as much as they haf to learn from me, wun elaborate here mayb some other time. life in a nutshell

realise i havnt  gave any overall pic of my life, only glimpses of it. so here it is.

Started working at RSP Architects, Planners and Engineer abt a month plus ago, decided its better for me to work now and delay studies till further notice cos of family reason. It was a tough decision not too sure if i have got it rite but yah at least thts wat i decided. Its a pretty nice place to work at, actually the best aki firm tht i haf worked so far. The boss (my Director) was really the man that makes the difference, a very modest man who haf endured all the tortures that akitecture could threw at him, but he is still loving it ( respect man, salute!). i will always remember this line ’ you are first a person before you are an akitect’ …he said this to me during one of our casual conversation..wow words of wisdom rite . BOSS!! i hope u r reading this, haha then again. And yes while im happy working there, i m also thinking about changing career line…but yah i have been thinking abt this ever since i first took up aki. Alway interested to break into the aviation line, jobs like flight ops, flight dispatch or aviation products development interests me but they wun hire me one cos i dun haf the rite training sigh. Will continue to search and if anything come by which i fit the bill, i might just do it. Also considering whether to pursue a Private Pilot Licence at flying club in Senai, still trying to figure out how much it will cost me given tht i haf ATPL theory background and some 40 plus flying experience, so far it doesnt look good, MONEY NOT ENUF!! Haiz see how lah. But yes i m definately going to take up a guitar course so tht i can fulfill my dream of joining a band…yes its one of the item on my ‘things i need to do before i die’ list. haha with my newly mastered skill, mayb i can do part time busking at orchard road lol. Oh yes i m going to london in late aug to attend my good buddy wedding. And yes the air tic is NOT sponsor lor !! out of my own pocket, wat to do, i m one of the best man mah. ok lah fren for so long liao wats a few thousand bucks compared to the treasury of friendship. really happy for him tht he found a companion to spend the rest of his life with, their realtionship was not without ups and downs, very glad they make it. Ok this has been a really long blog..i think longest so far, u must b bored by now. K lah signing off and stay tune

F1 frenzy

yes!!! i going to the race!! haha went to collect my F1 pass the other day at Taka singpost. Quite surprise that it actually came as a box but it was pretty empty inside except for the passes. extremely excitied to be part of history in the making, the first ever night race in F1 history…haha hope there will b no crashes during raceday itself, so organizer!! pls tune up ur street lights and have the spare bulbs ready ok, F1 cars doesnt come with headlights ! Never knew tht i will b a F1 fan, i only started watching it when i was in perth 3 yrs ago and its my frens there who really got me hooked by feeding me with all the technicalities of the race. you really cannot enjoy the race if you do not know whats happening beneath tht slick & fast machine, stuff like tire strategies, fuel plan, weather , track condition etc…so if u r not a fan yet, haha u dun know wat u r missing out

reminder

I used to live by the belief that the well and able should or at least give a helping hand to our comrades in less desirable conditions. Which was why i got involved in volunteer work during my uni days. But over the years, i seems to have forgotten about it. i let life worries got the better of me, until this morning surmon reminded me of it. I felt really guilty when the pastor mention that we do not need to have adundant to give. So its abt time i do something about it. what should i do? Return to help out in the Boys’ Brigade, Back to MINDS (school for the intellectually disabled kid) or a fresh area. the search is on, but i am glad that i started.

Took this pic while i was walking along the road next to SMU. It was the aerial display for our upcoming national day celebration. Its kind of nice to see that love is in the air, but i cant help thinking tht it might be one of those govenmnet propreganda to encourage its citizens to make more babies . haha wat a weird thot…ok tht aside i must say our ‘black knight’ flying display team did a pretty good job (even though their F-16 are painted white). mmm mayb i shld go down town every weekend to catch them, i just love the sound of afterburner & the roaring engine, haha shiok

random thots

during the time when you are about sleep, i seems to be able to hear myself better, those inner thoughts of mine, undistorted by the surrounding noise, made easy to surface. i heard this yesterday.

‘We smile when we meet each other, but are you really happy or is it just a defence, to hide the inner truth. I smile in response to yours, but i m not really happy, its only to compliment, to make you comfortable. Is it ok that we stop smiling and put on our real self, the one that we really are. I am really fine that you dun smile at me. then its easier to talk heart to heart and commune on wat really matters.’

Apology for the melancholy but i really dun feel like smiling now.

flight 5481 (dead weight crash)

just watched an episode of aircrash investigation, i was quite amazed by the cause of the crash, thats why i am writing this. the plane crashed simply because nobody updated or keep track of the ergonomic average weight of a typical amerian. basically, the airline used a lower average weight of 175lb but later found out through survey that the average has risen to 195lb. in short the plane was overweight and no one know knew abt it… wow. the plane crashed shortly after take off because it was aft heavy and stalled after the landing was retracked. haiz poor soul, thank you for making flying safer for me now.

Run Forrest Run !!

Finally decided to move my lazy ass and do some long overdue excerises. Feeling kind of lethagic most of the time. So i guess running | swimming (mayb gym) will help. The routine start with a late nite jog around my neighbour. I love to jog at nite and i mean really late ones, sometime pass midnite. Its so refereshing and quiet, there are less people around, less car on the road , fresher air. For a moment spore suddenly attain the population density of Alaska..haha shiok. Ok i will do this more often, ah my legs hurts now, ouch.

new stuff to wear (at last)

 yes! at last new addition to my wardrode, haha its been quite a while since i last bought clothes. if i m not wrong the last time was CNY this year. Yah been running out of clothes to wear, most impt i bought them during SALE!! The tee shirts r from British India (woo..) dun worry there was a 50% discount and these r actually the lowest range there. I think the sales lady was pretty happy that i was clearing stock for them. The pants is from Chester Loren (erm actually i never heard of this brand) but the fabric is really nice to feel, 100% cotton ok. Haha i m just glad that i have something new to wear. Yes yes, how come they look like the clothes i already have, about the same colour scheme. But this is the kind of style i like, the clean look, nothing extra, no laces, no flowery trimming etc. just plain simple looking clothes, Ahh.. classy hor.
